Peaceful Warrior: Lalo Hibri’s Award-Winning Glass Sculpture’s Journey to Acclaim
Trusting the Slow Journey: How Peaceful Warrior Emerged into International Acclaim
Standing Out Among 150 International Exhibitors
At the 2025 Glass Art Society Conference in Arlington, artists from 29 countries presented their finest work. When Peaceful Warrior took Second Place, I was honored—not least because it made me the only American medalist in a fiercely competitive field. Seeing viewers lean in for a close-up, snap photos, and linger in contemplation was deeply gratifying.
Reflections on Recognition
As my name echoed through the hall, excitement gave way to quiet affirmation. I thought of every late-night studio session and every technical hurdle—and of the colleagues and community members who believed in this piece long before any accolade. Their support reminds me that the clearest path forward often reveals itself one deliberate step at a time—and that patience, trust, and openness to surprises can yield something truly special.
